In last week’s blog, we mentioned how our deals on Groupon and Living Social were becoming a huge hit for the summer. Now, we’re in preparation to introduce “Tweet Seats” as part of the many opportunities VisArts has to offer.
Easily becoming a big social fad, “tweet seats” is a phenomenon encouraging the use of cellphones during a performance. The concept is simple. Theatres are setting aside a section of seats where users can use their cellphones, ostensibly for tweeting, during a performance without disturbing less “connected patrons.” The hope is to get the younger generation more interested in live theater.
Trending with the current sensations, VisArts is making way to adopt “Tweet Seats” to bring more interest in the visual arts. Basically, the concept remains the same. We will set aside a small section of seats for tweeters during a class session. With many classes to choose from, this will be a great opportunity to get your hands dirty and your creativity running.
We’re not ready to launch this new deal just yet, but it’s definitely something to be excited about!
