VisArts is looking for dynamic talented artists to join our organization as Artists in Residence. We have two studios for rent. One studio is approximately 188 square feet, has lots of natural light, twenty four hour a day access and lots of other great amenities. The other studio is 480 square feet, which is suitable for a group of artists. Both studios have 24 hour-a-day access and many other amenities.
Artists must work thirty hours per week in their studios (15 of those hours must be during the hours that the center is open to the public). Utilities, common area cleaning and lighting included in rent. All studios have large utility sinks.
VisArts currently has two open studios:
Small Studio
- 188 square foot studio with sink
- Wireless internet access
- 24-hour access to studio
- Rent: $336.83 per month
Large "Group" Studio
- 480 square foot studio with sink
- Wireless internet access
- 24-hour access to studio
- Rent: $860.00 per month
Leases are offered for a term of one year with the mutual right to renew for an additional three years.

Applications must include:
- Resident Artist Application Form
- 5 to 10 work samples from the last 3 years. Work samples can be a combination of high resolutions and time-based media (*up to 10 minutes total).
- Send images/video via DVD or CD.
- If you would like your DVD or CD of images returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
- *2 minutes of video, film, sound or performance documentation = one work
- Image Requirements: You may submit up to 10 images. They must be in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .gif file format. Minimum image resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Maximum file size 5MB per image.
- Files must be labeled in the following way: first name last name-title of artwork-1.ext, first name last name-title of artwork-2.ext, etc. The file number corresponds with the number on the list of works. (Ex. John Doe-Untitled-1.jpg)
