Operation Second Chance

Operation Second Chance is committed to serving wounded, injured and ill combat veterans. They support Veterans and their families while they recover in military hospitals by building relationships and identifying and supporting immediate needs and interests. VisArts partners with this wonderful group by offering highly discounted and free classes to veterans, their families and caregivers.

VisArts also funds partial scholarships for the children of veterans for our summer camp program.

VisArts’ commitment to providing safe, creative and supportive opportunities for veterans and their families to heal their minds and spirits is not limited to our partnership with Operation Second Chance. VisArts also provides free monthly classes to veterans who part of Walter Reed Hospital Life Transitions program and discounted classes for clients of the Yellow Ribbon Fund.

VisArts has no funding for the work we do with our veterans and their families so donations are very much appreciated. Every dollar donated for veteran programming makes a huge difference to the men, women and families in our armed forces.
