VisArts’ gallery exhibitions feature emerging and established artists and are designed to serve as a catalyst for conversation, education and programming. Our goal is to make quality gallery exhibitions available locally and to the community develop and enhance its appreciation for the arts. Recent and upcoming exhibitions have been designed with an eye to enhancing cultural diversity.

VisArts’ gallery program also includes lectures and workshops on exhibits at the Smithsonian and other larger arts institutions in an effort to encourage individuals to take advantage of and feel more comfortable with the unique cultural opportunities available to residents of the region. These Art Conversations Programs have proven to be highly popular and feature educators and docents from the National Gallery of Art, the U.S. Botanical Garden and the Museum of American History.
