B. G. Muhn, Accidental Reality, 2010-11, Acrylic on linen, 51 X 76 inches
Accidental Reality features the recent paintings of B.G. Muhn. Muhn considers the influence of a digital “reality comprised of millions of tiny compressed dots” on visual information and meaning. Often working from a matrix that includes iconographic images such as ancient Buddhist tangka paintings, Muhn presents a compelling contemplation on the power of the image and its infinite manifestations.
An Opening Reception and Artist Talk will be held on Friday, March 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
