This course will cover basic painting techniques, though students of all levels will find it worthwhile. Using versatile acrylic paints, projects will include still life, landscape, portrait and abstraction. The principles and elements of design and composition as well as materials and techniques of master painters will be integrated into the lectures, demos and studio projects. Students will learn to understand Color and use it effectively through skills-building exercises. Some drawing experience is helpful.
