Volunteers
VisArts has a number of volunteer and internship opportunities. Your help is needed in running classes for adults and children, coordinating our galleries, and managing our busy administrative office. We appreciate any offer of assistance and will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Gallery Volunteers
VisArts is seeking volunteers to interact with visitors and share basic information regarding gallery exhibitions. Click here to fill out a volunteer application. Gallery Volunteers are needed for daytime, evening and weekend shifts during Gallery Hours: Wednesday 12:00–4:00 pm, Thursday & Friday 12:00–8:00 pm, and Saturday & Sunday 12:00–4:00 pm and for Special Events. Gallery Volunteers receive training and enjoy many benefits, which include the opportunity to earn tuition credit toward taking art classes at VisArts, or High School Students may earn volunteer service SSL approved hours. Summer Camp Volunteers
Do you like volunteering, working with children, and art? Work with Children this Summer at VisArts Kids Create! Art Camp. Engage youth in art projects in Rockville Town Center.
We have open positions for teen volunteers to help with the upcoming summer camp sessions. There is opportunity for up to 75 SSL approved hours per session. Education Internships
College students who serve as interns will assist instructors with hands-on class experiences, including registration, supply management and course delivery. Apply Now
Gallery Internships
College students who serve as gallery interns will help with our exhibition program by creating signage, designing catalogues, registering images and preparing and installing artwork. Apply Now
